Our summer hiatus continues to be a very productive working "holiday". We are on schedule for our September 3 relaunch, an edition that will include our star correspondents Alex Binkley, Dennis Carr, Anita Chan, Frances Sedgwick, Lakshmi Sundaram, The Rev. Dr. Hanns F. Skoutajan, Alberte Villeneuve-Sinclair and many others.

We are working hard to transform True North Perspective's public face and its inner workings. This would be an easier task if we could work at it full time. But, because True North Perspective is financially desperate, we can't afford full time. So we work on it and a myriad of other projects on a dead run. Needless to say, not the most efficient way, but unfortunately, so far, our only way.

As you know, True North Perspective provides a unique eye on the world, produced by a band of hard-working and dedicated volunteers — but even volunteers should be paid something! And if we're going to continue to bring you the world, we're going to need your help!

To those of you who have already made a donation or donations we extend our most sincere heartfelt thanks. I cannot exaggerate how helpful your donations have been. During our August hiatus I'll find time to send you a personal thank-you note.
